Pneumococcal diseases remain relevant for the whole world. On the one hand, this is due to the high prevalence of pneumococcus and the other hand, the growth of antibiotic-resistant strains and the constant change of clinically significant serotypes of the pathogen.</p><p><bold>The aim of the research</bold> was to study of the protective activity of a mixture of pneumococcal antigens.</p><p><bold>Material and methods</bold>. we used preparations of a capsular polysaccharide (CPS) obtained from <italic>Streptococcus pneumoniae</italic> serotype 3; protein-containing fraction (PCF) obtained from an aqueous extract of cells of <italic>S. pneumoniae</italic> serotype 6B; recombinant pneumolysin (rPly). Mice were immunized intraperitoneally twice with an interval of 14 days with mixtures of bacterial antigens: CPS + PCF; CPS + rPly; PCF + rPly. To assess the protective activity of the studied drugs after double immunization animals were infected intraperitoneally with <italic>S. pneumoniae</italic> serotype 3. To study the effect of mixtures of bacterial preparations on the infectious process in the lungs immunized mice were infected with <italic>S. pneumoniae</italic> serotype 3. The humoral immune response was studied with IgG using the method of ELISA.</p><p><bold>Results</bold>. The CPS + rPly mixture protected mice from intraperitoneal infection with <italic>S. pneumoniae</italic> serotype 3 regardless of the infecting dose. Immunization with CPS + PCF or CPS + rPly mixtures influenced a significant decrease the number of seeded bacterial cells from lungs during the entire observation period (72 h) compared to the control. Administration of mixtures of bacterial antigens of CPS + PCF, CPS + rPly or PCF + rPly to animals led to a significant increase of the level of antibodies to all antigens, however, the highest levels of IgG were determined to PCF and rPly.</p><p><bold>Conclusion</bold>. The results obtained suggest that different antigenic drugs in mixtures affect different mechanisms of immunity activation.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><bold>Введение</bold>. Пневмококковые заболевания сохраняют актуальность для всего мира. С одной стороны, это обусловлено высокой распространенностью пневмококка, а с другой – ростом антибиотикорезистентных штаммов и постоянной сменой клинически значимых серотипов возбудителя.</p><p><bold>Цель исследования</bold> – изучение протективной активности смеси пневмококковых антигенов.</p><p><bold>Материалы и методы</bold>. Для выполнения работы использовали препараты капсульного полисахарида (КПС) пневмококка серотипа 3; белоксодержащую фракцию (БСф), полученную из водного экстракта клеток <italic>Streptococcus pneumoniae</italic> серотипа 6B; рекомбинантный пневмолизин (rPly). Мышей иммунизировали внутрибрюшинно двукратно с интервалом 14 дней смесями бактериальных антигенов: КПС + БСф; КПС + rPly; БСф + rPly. Для оценки протективной активности исследуемых препаратов животных после двукратной иммунизации заражали внутрибрюшинно <italic>S. pneumoniae</italic> серотипа 3. Для изучения влияния смесей бактериальных препаратов на инфекционный процесс в легких иммунизированных мышей интраназально заражали штаммом <italic>S. pneumoniae</italic> серотипа 3. Гуморальный иммунный ответ изучали с помощью определения IgG-антител методом твердофазного иммуноферментного анализа.</p><p><bold>Результаты</bold>. Смесь КПС + rPly защищала мышей от внутрибрюшинного заражения пневмококком серотипа 3 независимо от заражающей дозы. Иммунизация смесями КПС + БСф или КПС + rPly влияла на достоверное уменьшение количества высеваемых бактериальных клеток из легких в течение всего периода наблюдения (72 ч) по сравнению с контролем. Введение животным смесей бактериальных антигенов КРС + БСф, КПС + rPly или БСф + rPly приводило к достоверному повышению уровня антител ко всем антигенам, однако наиболее высокие уровни IgG-антител определяли к БСф и rPly.</p><p><bold>Заключение</bold>.
